Runners take off at the start of Saturday’s spring Girls on the Run 5K at Liberty Park. Nearly 250 girls (among 600-plus participants) from Ripley, Decatur and Franklin counties completed a 10-week season of the GOTR program by racing alongside running/walking buddies. The GOTR girls wore coral-colored shirts, running buddies and others wore blue shirts and coaches wore violet-colored shirts.
